Reduction printing builds up the layers of colour. I usually print the lightest colour first, then carve away that part of the image from the block ready to print the next colour. This method is exacting and once the print is complete there will be almost nothing left of the lino block. These prints are called limited edition because once it is all the layers are carved from the block no more prints can be made.
